our mission

Program Coordinator

The Bhutan Memory Project seeks to preserve and honor the stories of Bhutanese refugees by documenting their experiences, struggles, and resilience. Through audio recordings and podcasts, we aim to create a lasting archive for future generations, ensuring that the voices of our community are heard, remembered, and passed down. Our mission is to celebrate the strength of our people while educating the world about the journey of Bhutanese refugees.

About Our Podcast

The Bhutan Memory Project is a community-driven effort to document and preserve the stories of Bhutanese refugees, focusing on their struggles, hardships, and achievements as they resettle and build new lives. Through audio recordings and a seasonal podcast series, we collect interviews with community members that explore a wide range of topics, including employment, health, personal struggles, and the policies that have impacted their lives. Hosted by youth and students from the Bhutanese Nepali community living in Central Ohio, the Bhutan Memory Podcast amplifies the voices of individuals whose experiences are often overlooked, creating a platform for dialogue, reflection, and education. By preserving these stories, the project aims to ensure that future generations understand and appreciate the resilience of their ancestors, while also fostering a deeper connection within the community.
